In the initial announcement of their product endorsement, the Kardashians made it clear that they would not endorse any product or service that was not of the highest caliber, and that they themselves did not use.

Apparently, the sisters had been asked many times by reporters how they managed to have such sparking, white teeth, and decided to promote the teeth whitening system they themselves used with such excellent results. As the perfect examples of the effectiveness of Kardashian teeth whitening, the sisters do have remarkably white teeth, which are highlighted by the olive tone of their skin.

After the success of their show Keeping up with the Kardashians, and Kim Kardashian’s multiple appearances on other television programs like Dancing With The Stars, CSI and many others, the family has been active in product promotion, teaming up with Shoedazzle shopping, creating the perfume line Kim Kardashian, and becoming co-owners of a clothing boutique called D-A-S-H. Clearly savvy about the interwoven business of celebrity, fame and the promotion of beauty and vanity products, the Kardashian’s strategic promotional endorsements are reminiscent of the business acumen of the Olsen twins, and particularly Mary Kate.

Tooth whitening was originally only available as an expensive procedure done by a cosmetic dentist, but the use of tooth whitening products has grown significantly in the last ten years.

The first tooth whitener was introduced in 2001 by Crest. The Crest Teeth Whitening Strips pioneered a niche market of non-prescription teeth whiteners made commercially and inexpensively available in drugstores and supermarkets and eliminated the need for costly visits to the dentist. Since then, the popularity of teeth whiteners as basic beauty and dental products has expanded and many varieties are available online.

Has the effectiveness of tooth whiteners increased along with their variety? With competition and profit motivation, companies manufacturing tooth whiteners have made them easier to apply, and the lightening effect of most products occurs more quickly than when first introduced. Whitening teeth is an ongoing process, requiring long-term application, although eliminating consumption of tooth-staining foods and beverages like coffee will help. While time will tell of its effectiveness, the Kardashian Teeth Whitening System promises safe, easy and professional results at home.
